Chevrolet has developed a virtual supercar racing simulator Gran Turismo 6. Prototype Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo, set in motion the power plant operating on the basis of the laser will be available for download along with the next update of the game.

Supercar created in honor of the company's cooperation and Motorsports Chevrolet team Chaparral Cars, make racing cars between 1962 and 1970.

The laser system prototype generates power pulses, and then creates a shock wave that provide "a tremendous acceleration." Installation kit is powered by a lithium-ion battery and pneumatic generator. The total capacity of more than 900 units of horsepower.

From zero to 96 kilometers per hour prototype accelerates in 1.5 seconds and a top speed of 386 kilometers per hour.

Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo, built on the chassis of composite material, received 17-inch wheels with racing tires. The pilot in the cockpit is located in a supine position facing the direction of motion, his arms and legs are directed toward the wheel. Suspension components and power plant prototype are around the driver.

According to the developers, this arrangement would obviate the need equipment supercar additional aerodynamic bodywork and other body parts that had a positive impact on its weight and air resistance coefficient.

Cab racing car "is minimalist, there was a place where only the most needed around." For example, the instruments and the data of the units are projected on the helmet visor of the pilot.

Previously, their concepts for Gran Turismo 6 presented Subaru, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Aston Martin and Toyota.
