The best-selling car in 2011 Austria

Austria, one of the top 10 markets in Europe, reported an 8% growth in sales of new vehicles in 2011 and scored 356,145 units.

With an advantage of almost 40 000 units compared to the 2nd place, the leadership of Volkswagen assured marks when registering 65,150 units. Opel (25,919) and Ford (23,678) completed the podium. Skoda and Audi fought a close race for the 4th position and the Czech brand won by only 330 units..

Among the models, dual leadership to VW, the Golf (16,777) and sales ahead by only 1% lower than in 2010, and the Polo (11916) in the sequence. Opel Astra, Seat Ibiza and Skoda Fabia completed the top five. The Hyundai i30, 7th place was the best among the brands produced by outside Europe.
