2010 Mitsubishi i-MiEV details

mitsubishi i-miev
The i-MiEV is based on the Mitsubishi "i", a mini car that is sold in Japan since 2006 with petrol. The rear part of the acronym stands for Mitsubishi i-MiEV innovative Electro Vehicles. This electric car is driven by an electric motor with 47 kW (64 hp) over the rear wheels. The energy refers to the engine from lithium-ion batteries that are mounted under the vehicle floor. The four-seater provides a maximum of 130 kph and has a range of up to 160 kilometers. The charging of the batteries is seven hours on the house outlet or 25 minutes on a fast charger.

  1. These small cars are really getting increasing popular - actually even the police have started using them. For example try looking at the Mitsubishi MiEV Police Edition used by the London police.

BTW. I thought that the MiEV abbreviation stood for Mitsubihi In-wheel motor Electric Vehicle.
