2011 Opel Insignia: Less consumption, and new leather colors
Since November 2008, the Opel Insignia is on the market. For model year 2011, Opel has to incorporate minor changes in the series. The CO2 emissions of ecoFLEX models should be decreased by 19 percent. The 130-horsepower and 160-hp variant emits the sedan still 129 g / km CO2 and consumes 4.9 l/100 km according to Opel. The Sports Tourer will consume in the ecoFLEX version 5.1 l/100 km.
Smaller turbos
To reduce the noise level, the diesel engines have been overhauled. The 2.0 CDTI with 110 hp and 130 were given a small turbocharger. He should respond more quickly and also provide for lower consumption. According to Opel also have the cylinder heads and injectors, the ignition revised to optimize the combustion further.
220-hp engine will consume less
In the two-liter turbo gasoline engine with 220 hp got the engine management software upgrade. Thus, the machine will need up to eleven percent less fuel. Whether this value can be truly realized in practice, must show a subsequent test. From August 2010 a set point indicator comes in all Insignia models. The 160-horsepower diesel engine for the first time can then be combined with the adaptive four-wheel system.
