The DTM will introduce new regulations in 2012. Other championships, including the Super GT in Japan, could adopt the same, so manufacturers have in common.
The DTM has in any case planned to launch a new league in the United States, organized in collaboration with NASCAR. From 2013, "American DTM" will have twelve rounds and will be played with cars that meet the new regulations of the DTM.
Six races will be held during meetings of NASCAR, and the six other races on the margins of GrandAm.
It is not known yet whether the three manufacturers of the DTM, Audi, Mercedes and BMW, will be incurred, or if other brands come in this league.
