After Europe in 2009, it's time for U.S. to discover the prototype hybrid Kia Forte Hybrid LPI. Technically nothing changes and the engine still combined electric and LPG, a unique combination that allows to achieve CO2 emissions limited to 99 grams / kilometer. The total power is close to 130 horsepower while the batteries are lithium-polymer.
The model shown at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas is changing slightly, for example, new alloy wheels which are mounted on tires with low rolling resistance. The aerodynamics of the bodywork has been revised and slightly lowered chassis.
Inside, Kia offers a hi-fi 1200 watts which will cover much engine noise. No date has been indicated eventual commercialization.
