NASCAR: Denny Hamlin's victory
The Toyota driver Denny Hamlin has signed his eighth win of the season at Texas Motor Speedway, taking the championship lead pass to Jimmie Johnson.
Denny left in 30th position on the grid, quickly gaining places and taking the lead in the race for thirty laps.
Less than 10 laps remaining, a yellow flag was deployed. At the restart, Denny has been doubled by Matt Kenseth, but in the penultimate lap Matt has slipped a bit and Denny took the opportunity to recover the head of the race.
Denny imposed himself on Kenseth, Mark Martin, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle.
Note a tough race for Juan Pablo Montoya, the Colombian driver finished in 28th place. There is only one race to compete and decide Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson. Kevin Harvick, currently third in the championship just yet play the underdogs.
