Renault began testing a compact crossover, as evidenced by the spy photos of the car, the published edition of Autocar. According to the sources of Autocar, a novelty to be built on the modernized platform crossover Nissan Juke with some elements, harmonized with the model Qashqai. The car will be fully developed in Europe, without the participation of South Korean manufacturer Samsung Motors, which is owned by Renault for the past ten years and has been involved in creating crossover Koleos (in South Korea, this machine is sold under the name Samsung QM5).

This decision was taken due to low demand for model Koleos in Europe. "We want a new compact crossover has been designed exclusively by our forces. In Korea QM5 pretty successful, but in Europe it did not work" - said Pelata. As previously reported, Renault Koleos is no longer sold in the Netherlands, and at the end of the year it intends to refuse, and a British importer of the brand. At the same time in Spain and France, this model continues to enjoy good demand.

It is expected that the conceptual version of the new crossover Renault will be ready by next spring. In the series production car to be launched in late 2012 or early 2013.
