Toyota Prius - the most economical car in the U.S. 2010
EPA published this year's ranking of the most economical series production cars.
U.S. EPA published a list of the most economical cars in the U.S. market for 2010. For the year winner is the Toyota Prius with the consumption of 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers on highway (51/48 MPG *).
Of the top three rankings is complemented by the Ford Fusion Hybrid and Honda Civic Hybrid, placed on second and third place. In the rankings do not appear popular TDI versions of the Golf and Jetta, despite their consumption of 7.8/100 and 5.6/100 in the city on highway (30/42 MPG *).
In the list are also not included vehicles such as Chevrolet Volt, Nissan Leaf and Smart Fortwo Electric Drive. By the EPA indicate that they still have not decided how to run the tests for fuel economy of cars with electric or plug-in drive. It is also unclear whether these vehicles will be included on the list or they will be separate new category.
