2011 North American Car of the Year, the finalists
The deadline is approaching, and the title of Car of the Year in North America will be awarded in a few weeks, the show opens in Detroit. Last phase now, since the jury issued its list of finalists, with 3 cars in each category Car and Truck. One thing is certain, nobody will win both titles this year.
The list of contenders for the North American Car of the Year is now reduced to three. Unsurprisingly, the Chevrolet Volt and the Nissan Leaf are both part of the latter group, complete with the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Turbo. Audi A8, Buick Regal, Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Fiesta, Infiniti M, Jaguar XJ, Kia Optima, Mazda 2, Nissan Juke, Volkswagen Jetta and Volvo S60 are excluded.
In the category of trucks, the Chrysler Group is favorite, since two of the finalists are from the range: Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. But they find themselves faced with the Ford Explorer that has also made its revolution. Here are the Ford Edge, Honda Odyssey, Hyundai Tucson, Infiniti QX56, Kia Sorento and Sportage, Lincoln MKX, Mercedes R-Class, Porsche Cayenne, Toyota Sienna and Volkswagen Touareg, which were excluded.

Juke's better known as the word for athletes faking one direction and zipping into another--which seems to make perfect sense with the new hatchback, which Nissan is pitching as a more masculine, better-handling version.
