Indy 500: Alex Tagliani in pole position at Indy 500

Alex Tagliani (Sam Schmidt Motorsports) who was one of the most swift drivers throughout the week finally got his first career pole position for the presentation of the Indianapolis 500 next Sunday.

Obviously, all observers were waiting tenors Ganassi or Penske teams as those who would fight for the honor but Tagliani has shown that it was obviously the strongest today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

But it was Scott Dixon, who still seemed to be that which would be the fastest but the Ganassi driver lost all his ways when his car ran out of fuel at the outlet of the fourth turn, leaving him second on the grid.

Oriol Servia (Newman / Haas), who was also convincing this week, remained in the lead pack and is thus placed on the first line starting with the 3rd place.

The productive day of the team Sam Schmidt should not stop with Tagliani's teammate since the latter, Townsend Bell, takes the 4th place in the standings before the leader Will Power Series (Penske) that completes the top 5

The remaining positions on the starting grid will be decided at the famous Bump Day on Sunday as several major players have yet to find a place with Penske driver Ryan Briscoe, Graham Rahal (Ganassi), Paul Tracy (Dreyer & Reinbold) and the 4 Autosport drivers Andretti.
