Yesterday started this year's Rally Dakar and unfortunately lost his life 38 year old Argentine rider Jorge Martinez Boero. Boero lost control of RR 450 Beta and succumbed to injuries during transport to hospital. Last year Boero participated again in Dakar after an accident, had to wait eight hours to be pulled from a ditch.
