The engine uses not yet been confirmed. The standard car used a 2.5-liter turbocharged 5-cylinder TFSI engine. Improvements to the chassis and aerodynamics have been using components from the Audi R8 LMS, which competes in the Le Mans Series. The TT model was used by privateer squad Abt Sportsline, when it competed in the DTM championship between 2000 and 2003.
