Tokyo Motor Show: Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV II, closer to the new Outlander

Look there, a hybrid Outlander.

After several years of noodling with batteries in the smallest class (i-MIEV) Mitsubishi takes it to grander: Tokyo is the PX-MiEV II, a mid-size plug-in hybrid PHEV, or a plug-in hybrid concept in terms form suspiciously like a new Outlander. He is 50 km of pure electric driving, with the help of the 95 hp 2.0 liter four cylinder has a range of 800 km is possible. This is consistent with a combined consumption of 1:60.

The two electric motors each deliver 82 hp and drive both the front and rear on. According to Mitsubishi, the performance equals that of a 3.0-liter V6. The dimensions are 4660 mm x 1830 mm x 1680 mm, and here you can (as in Mirage) 5 adults carry, but just a little bit more comfortable.

The concept features Mitsubishi's S-AWC drive system. From this (hybrid-specific) construct, sometime middle of this decade, a production version roll. At least, that we expect, because in 2015 the Japanese to eight hybrids and EVs on the market.
