Ferrari 458 Italia Voted MSN Cars UK's "Car of the Year"

Ferrari 458 italia
The Ferrari 458 Italia has been voted “Car of the Year” in an online poll of readers of MSN Cars UK, with the stunning new mid-engined Italian supercar receiving 24% of the 41,696 votes. This award has special significance because it is the first “readers” award that the car has received, and demonstrates that the 458 Italia has made a similar impression on the voting public as it has with the international motoring press.

Tom Evans, Content Manager of MSN Cars commented: “I’d like to offer huge congratulations to Ferrari for coming first in this year’s poll. It is a truly gorgeous car to look at, and the joy continues when you get behind the wheel and scream the car up to its 9,000 rpm red-line. Any Ferrari is a dream car for millions of people, and the 458 Italia continues the tradition. It is no surprise at all to see this car succeed worthy previous winners in our hall of fame.”

The MSN Cars UK award also follows other recent awards for the Ferrari 458 Italia: BBC Top Gear Magazine’s “Supercar of the Year” and “Car of the Year”, and also GQ Magazine’s “Supercar of the Year”.

The Ferrari 458 Italia was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September to immediate critical acclaim. Following an extensive international media test drive programme in Maranello, the home of the fabled Prancing Horse, the car has been the subject of enthusiastic reviews, with its handling, roadholding, ride comfort and performance all being subject to the kind of superlatives rarely seen from the world’s leading journalists.
