That says Autocar. The Polo R gets a new English magazine in the 1.6-liter turbo engine under the hood. The power comes out to about 210 hp. Unlike the other R-R models, the Polo just front wheel drive. Four wheel drive is not really needed and Polo platform is anyway not suitable for driving all four wheels.
As for the transmission gets Polo R, is not yet known. The Polo GTI, which in the summer the market is only a seven-speed DSG transmission available. The GTI has a 1.4 TSI twin charge engine under the hood, good for 180 hp. An electrically-XDS differential ensures that the drive forces will be introduced.
Of the previous Polo was also a fierce version over the GTI Cup Edition with the 180 instead of 150 hp.
