In September at the motor show in Paris, Renault will present a concept car DeZir - electric car with a mid-engine layout of the body. The appearance of this new product developed Laurens van den Acker - a new chief designer of Renault, who converted to a French company of the "Mazda".
Renault DeZir built on the basis of the spatial frame of steel pipes, which are slung Kevlar body. As a result, the car weighs just 830 kilograms, and 148-hp electric motor accelerates it up to a hundred kilometers per hour in five seconds.
Power reserve new items with fully charged lithium-ion batteries is about 160 kilometers. And 80 per cent of charging batteries by means of technology Renault Quick Drop takes only 20 minutes.
According to representatives of Renault, this concept is to give an idea of what direction will develop design vehicles French brand in the coming years. In particular, the next generation Renault Clio will design the front of the body, made in the style DeZir.
