Hyundai seems willing to "take off" his image of SUVs. This at least is the impression that the company passes through their booth at the auto show. Although the area highlighted SUVs with which the South Korean manufacturer has gained fame in domestic market (Tucson, Veracruz, Santa Fe and ix35), the main attractions are the new Equus sedans, Genesis and Sonata. The latter, incidentally, was the star of a press conference recently. With a fresh look (and considered "state of the art technology Hyundai), the Sonata will be marketed in the country from next year with a 2.0 engine equipped with variable control (intake and exhaust) capable of generating 178 horsepower, and exchange with optional 6-speed swap for butterflies along the road. The price, however, was not disclosed.

Another novelty is the Genesis luxury model will be positioned above the Azera. Its engine is a 3.8-liter V6 with 290 hp, and the exchange is sequential 6-speed automatic with manual option trading (on toe). The design, however, is far more conservative than the Sonata.

Equally sobering is the style of Equus, which will come to be the most luxurious Hyundai range in the country. And not for less: the three-volume under the hood has a V8 engine with variable controls the intake and exhaust, foreign exchange and 6-speed rear-wheel drive. Preferring the comfort of the occupants, Equus offers nine airbags, navigation system and wood flooring with inserts, among other items. Side curtain airbags (with electric) and even a refrigerator built are among the items available for convenience.

  1. The Hyundai Sonata has been around for years, but with the facelift inside and outside of 2009, he joined in himself. The sonata is still a value of luxury cars in 2010 pending a major upgrade possible in 2011. There are still two available engines, the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that makes 175 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque, and aluminum 3.3-liter 6-cylinder, with an improvement of 249 hp and 229 lb-ft torque. Both engines are available in sporty SE and Limited House, the base level GLS is only available with 2.4 liters.

  2. I want to see and know more about the Genesis model of Hyundai. I think this is one of the attraction in the modern age. Its V6 engine with 290hp are the additional features of this super Hyundai.
    Really it's interesting to know.

  3. This is the game changer. Watch everyone else start to follow in Hyundai's footsteps with regards to this move. Getting 274hp from a turbo-4 is quite an accomplishment. However, to get that kind of fuel efficiency is simply incredible. The class leader imo..
