Opel again considering options for mass production of deputy sports coupe Opel Calibra.
This model was quite successful for European GM brands at the end of 90 years of last century. For eight years in producing, Calibra achieved over 240,000 sales.


"We recognize that we need a new model with similar features and it will happen soon," said the head of the European division of General Motors, Nick Reilly.

According to him, the new coupe will have a style concept GTC, presented in the spring of 2007 in Geneva. It GTC concept is the basis of the new family Opel Insignia.

Most likely future sports coupe will be made on the platform of "hot" Insignia OPC, there will be a V6 engine volume 2.8 liters and power outputs between 300 and 320 hp
