Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 is driven by a hybrid system, which consist of a diesel engine (2.0 HDi - 163 hp and 300 lb-ft) driving the front wheels and an electric motor (37 hp and 100 Nm), responsible for the rear. This makes the car a representative of the class with four-wheel drive without using a mechanical connection between the front and rear axles.

Electric motor draws its power from nickel-metal hydride battery, positioned below the trunk and is able to deliver up to 200 Nm of torque. The total power of the hybrid system is 200 hp and 500 Nm.

Average fuel consumption of Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 is within 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers, and harmful CO2 emissions do not exceed 99 g / km.
