Franc Comtois the manufacturer would have started work on developing a future Peugeot 601 Coupe or 4 door. This car would be developed on the platform of the new Peugeot 508 and would position itself again on the premium car segment to go annoy the German brands.

This car could benefit from new petrol engines jointly developed with BMW, a version Hybrid4 and high-end animated by the 3.0 L V6 engine with 275 horsepower version. It speaks of a range that could range from 156 to 275 hp with manual transmission, BVA and everything that goes with a coupe upscale 4-door 4-seater. This future would take the Peugeot 601 after the current cut 407 which did not last long on illusion and that the market has certainly not forget the superb cut 406 and 504 infants and drawn on the side of Turin.
