Caterham Project V: The Electric Sports Car That Breaks Every Expectation

Renault/Dacia Sandero 2012: The official images

For several months we follow the projected evolution of Sandero (Renault and Dacia) through drawing, spyshots and well today the wait is over with the first gallery of images of the restyled version of the bestseller city of Dacia.

Here are the pictures of the new look of the Romanian city that adopts a modernized front inspired both the Scenic II as some current models of the French manufacturer. The look is not bad and the car is even enhanced by this new presentation which mainly concerns the front, rear lights and the rims of the Sandero.

New bumper spoiler, new grille, new headlights, redesigned chrome trim but blackened B-pillars to reduce the profile dl'auto, new crystal taillights, new wheel covers or alloy wheels (eg Stepway adopt that of the Twingo RS), it was enough to make this new Sandero attractive to buyers reasoned that urban recognized for his many qualities that go beyond a sale price content.

Inside, one discovers a dashboard that takes advantage of plastics more rewarding and offers a better perceived quality. Note also slightly redesigned door moldings as the center console which now incorporates (optional) radio.

Note that the onboard instruments take strapping aluminum or chrome, depending on version and a new graphics less austere. The center console can, it seems, to wear a black or painted aluminum insert ... like luxury cars. No details about the proposed engines Dacia with the European version but it is likely that the current range will be conducted (1.2 L 16V 75 (gasoline or LPG), 1.5-liter dCi 75, 1.5-liter dCi 90) although it would be nice discover a more punchy petrol version with 90 hp for example!

Stepway version is also the same direction as the road version stylistic range and its small physical adventurer raised suspension with a front that is reminiscent of a Renault Scenic RX4 version or Conquest.

Finally be aware that it could be that the Sandero offers a palette more consistent than the current one which is still pretty basic. A review in a few months in Europe during launch and concession in late 2011.
