World’s Only 1965 Volkswagen Stretch Bus Fits 12 Passengers, Is Up for Grabs

World’s Only 1965 Volkswagen Stretch Bus Fits 12 Passengers, Is Up for GrabsEver wished the hippie machine you’d cruise along your friends back in the day, was bigger, stronger, faster? You know, spacious enough to move the entire party gang on the road, while still getting the proper speed to keep things rolling. With about 200 grands not only do you get the world’s only VW stretch bus, but you also get the Maui-based limo company for which the vehicle was used.

And it’s not a trap, how you might think. No, the company is allegedly already booking well into 2015 since Maui is one of the most popular wedding destinations in the world. The reason the company’s founders are selling the machine is that they have issues to solve back to the mainland.

But leave the business behind for a second here and let us take a closer look at this mean machine. Built by VW restoration shop in SoCal, South California, the 33 window bus has been used as a party limousine and even has the proper purple LED that come with a regular limo. As expected, some proper modifications were done under the bonnet since the weight obviously got bigger.

According to its seller, the bus is powered by a VW 2074cc engine that is a bullet-proof torque monster, with dual port, single carburetor and custom modified venture. The weigh without any parting people on board: 3900 lbs. But that is not a problem for this bad boy, that will reach up to 65 mph even with a load of 12 passengers. And hold your pants, there are better things about it too.

The party-van has a 1,600 mileage and looks better than ever. When it got restored, it also received a unique color, the 1957 Chevy tropical turquoise and India ivory. The only thing you need to settle is whether you get the Endless Summer along or keep the bus for yourself. Oh, and you also need to sell your house to buy it.
