 This is the first time we see a camouflaged Toyota GR86 being tested on public roads. The GR86 (as the GT86 will now be called ) and the Subaru BRZ will be unveiled in the summer of 2021 and earlier reports wanted the new GR86 and BRZ to be turbocharged and based on Toyota's TNGA platform.


However, more recent reports want the models to be based on a modified version of the current chassis and will wear the atmospheric version of Subaru's FA24 2.4-liter boxer engine.
