Cadillac's recent announcement revealed plans to introduce three new electric models. New spy photos offer a glimpse of one of those models, which appears to be a mid-size three-row SUV that may replace the gas-powered XT6. Cadillac has described the vehicle as "globally sized" with ample space and cargo capacity. Although the heavily camouflaged prototype doesn't reveal much, design cues taken from the Lyriq are evident, such as the front fascia lines, vertical headlight layout, and beak-like visor on the hood's leading edge. However, the vehicle's rear is notably different, as it maintains a relatively flat roof to accommodate a third row, which sets it apart from the sloping rear design of the Lyriq. From certain angles, the SUV bears resemblance to a Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The vehicle is expected to be revealed later this year and will likely have similar powertrain options to the Lyriq, with either a single rear motor producing 340 horsepower or dual motors producing 500 horsepower with all-wheel drive. While the gas-powered XT6 is expected to remain in production for several years, the electric SUV is anticipated to eventually replace it as the XT6's successor.
